Had lunch at this Mongolian restaurant.. Once of the nicest food that I had.. But it is a bit oily though.. Reminds me of seoul garden.. only that you have people to cook for you..

Toy Factory

 

There is a museum for toys in Taipei.. Pretty much like the one in Singapore.. Got so much toys inside..

Dar dar’s favourite.. The Barbie Doll.. And i didnt know that there is a family tree for all the dolls..

All so nice.. They even have mini alcohol bottle.. Got such a wide variety.. But seems weird to sell them here when most that comes here are kids..

It’s Christmas soon.. So we took a picture with Robot Santa.. Kinda of cute.. Even the toilet sign is special.. But most importantly is the doll that we are holding.. =)

Tofu Street

Interesting name as I would think of the old serial with the same name.. But this street really sells things associated with tofu.. THE WHOLE STREET.. But we were there quite early in the morning and most of the stalls are not open.. It was reputed that you can smell the stinky tofu from the different stalls far far away..

Had Ma La Ya Xue & Chou Dou Fu.. Yum yum.. Only thing is it is not stinky enough.. But my mum hates it.. She can never stand the stink..

White Rice Clog Village

Weird name for a village.. But at the clog village we made our own wooden feet.. =) We made one for each other.. Haha.. But both left feet..

Farm Stay

Beautiful beautiful beautiful place.. We reach the farm quite early in the day, as we were suppose to tour the farm but due to the rain.. We had to retire early to the rooms.. It packed quite a good view and we walk around the place taking photos.. Spent the afternoon watching TV.. Nu Ren Wo Zui Da was on and they were talking about blinging up your things..

That gave us the idea of buying the white nike dunk for our christmas present.. That spark our hunt around the nike shops in Taipei for it but they are too expensive.. Around $30 – $40 than Singapore.. So we decided to buy it in Singapore..

As there was too many people.. We let the kids to do all the stuff.. Were the older folks like me stand back and enjoy the show..

Ahhh… There was the fireworks.. Beginning to love this place as you can buy your own fireworks and set them off.. Pretty much like old Singapore.. Bought this 16 shots fireworks set and as well as smaller ones.. Took a video of the process but decided not to post it online =)

 

Feels like living in those cottage type houses.. With the rock path.. Log house.. Wonderful place to live in.. If not for the bugs.. Yucks..

Goat Farm

 

We went to this farm and the main attraction was their goats.. Quite a fun place to be as you get to feed the goats and there are lots of cute ones there.. As well as some weird ones.. With one horn.. Deformed horn.. One that resemble an unicorn.. Full of weirdos..

But there is one that is especially cute.. The cute little goat.. Running around outside the enclosure.. It didnt like the grass that other goats love..

 It love other things.. Like hair.. Hee.. It even took a nibble at Dar dar’s hair when she is posing with it..

It love us so much that it wanted to follow us on our road trip =)

Cultural Village

Quite a boring place.. But there are a lot of things there to see and can’t be seen anymore.. Especially captivating is the paper museum in the village.. There are a wide variety of bif and small art work made of paper such as paper carvings and sculptures.. Too bad they don’t allowing the taking of picture as they don’t want people to make replicas of them.. Too much piracy out there..

Jiu Fen

This place is very nice and has long winding streets.. This place used to be an old gold mining village.. They have very nice old buildings and quite messy in a sense.. But it is the mess that gives it the flavour.. They definitely have great food, ranging from variety of fish balls, toasted gigantic mushroom, BBQ stinky tofu and beef noodle..

Of cause we cannot forget the star of the place.. The cute little boy that calls out for tau huay all the time we were there.. Look at the little blot of tau hui on the side of his face =)

Yeh Liu Rock Formation

Beautiful rock formations that attracts many people, especially tourist.. But spent very little time at there to admire the many rock formations..

Some of the rock formations resemble toasted mashmellow and the queen’s head really looks like one.. But these rock formations won’t last long and after erosion by wind and water.. In another 20 years time the queen’s head will be gone..

Taiwan Trip

Before Flight

Reach extra early before the flight.. Dun wan to be late for our flight and hope to get good seats for the flight.. But alas.. It is a full flight and a lot of people have already check in.. Breakfast is quite crappy as there is only one place that is open..

Can’t wait to touch down in Taipei =)

After a long bus ride to the city, dropping our luggage.. We started our journey to Ximenting to spend our first day in Taipei..

Haha.. First thing of cause we need to find some food.. Stinky Tofu =)
