Durian Fix~~

I finally had my durian =) All thanks to the uncle who went all the way to Mandai to pick durian at a secret location and bring it to Pops’ Daddy. I have no idea what breed of durian I had but it is freaking delicious. Nothing beats the taste of a stinky and bitter durian.

I WANT MORE~~!!

New Chapter

After a long absent, I finally found the motivation to blog again. 4 years in NUS has been great for me and next week I shall be embarking on a new chapter of life. I’m so glad that I found work and thanks to everyone who kept me in their prayers=D So looking forward to work with Pops at the same workplace, though we are doing different things=)

I suppose the best part about starting work would be shopping~ So far, I have gotten a few pairs of shoes, pants, tops and a bag.. Still need to grab more pants and cufflinks to complete the ritual~~ Plus I need to use the $15 G2000 voucher by 15 Jul.. Shoppe Shoppe~~!!

Series of unfortunate events

This period hasn’t been great.. Rather unlucky I must say.. I twisted my ankle while walking down the stairs.. What was worse was that I had a damn bad diarrhea before the skit.. On the way to church, a cement mixer collided to the back of my car.. Glad it was a minor one that can be solved with a paint job.. I should be quite glad that it was not a full collision, I seriously doubt I would be here blogging now.. Good thing I could reach church and finish the skit without much hitch (thou I was as pale as ghost)..

I was picking up Dar Dar for church and I have no idea what happen, I kicked against the cupboard.. After cursing out loud, I realised that my toe was bleeding.. After a close examination, I realised that half my nail was out.. And I yank it out.. OUCH~!! I was in so much trauma that I forgotten to take pictures.. All I have is the “not so disgusting” picture..

Just hoping that my trail of bad luck will end.. Praying that all will be good from now on..

So much uncertainty has been thrown into the equation, no one knows exactly how bad will the volcanic ash will be like. I had my fair share of disrupted flight plan due to volcanic ash last year when flying back from US to SG. It was bearable as my flight was only delayed for half a day. This time, it has been 4 days and there are no signs yet. Though test flights have been conducted and there isnt any major impact of the ashes on the engine of the planes, try flying the same plane over and over through the ashes and see what might happen to the plane. I’m praying to God that things will work out soon as the day of our flight to UK draws nearer. People are asking whether can we still go since this volcano dont seem to be stopping soon. I will keep that in my prayers.

Last Burst

Time really flies and in less than 2 months, it will come to an end of my pursue of academic excellence. I really want to graduate with a 2nd upper class honour as I am really really close. It really boils down to what I can get for my dissertation and the 2 modules. It’s rather difficult to restart the drive I had when I was doing my dissertation but that is something I have to do. Things to accomplish now to end my studies on a high note:
1) Finish editing my dissertation
2) Finish my innovativeness report
3) Finish my accounting report
4) Finish my accounting tutorials
5) Study for the accounting exam
6) Secure a job

I need to reignite the fire in me:)

Job Hunting

Seldom I feel stress about anything.. But this has been bothering me for quite some time.. Imagine people around you are hired one by one and their jobs really sound quite good.. Directly or indirectly, it will have an impact on you.. But over these few days, I think I am beginning to handle it better.. Perhaps it is that wish to get that “glamorous” job or it is the fear of rejection.. After talking to a few people, I learned to realize that results will only get you to the interview and what’s important is the interview.. Though my first interview experience isn’t that great, it is definitely a good learning point.. Thanks those who talk to me and got me to this realization.. Job hunting is quite an uphill task but that’s a task that I will and must conquer.. With the newfound hope and motivation, I am ready to hit full steam!!

Postponed Trip

The dive trip got postponed due to bad weather condition.. Though we were quite disappointed that we got the call so last min.. But thank God that we got it before we leave for Malaysia.. The weather forecast for yesterday and today is thunderstorm with waves from 3.5 to 4.5 metre.. With such waves, I can’t imagine how are we going to get to tioman, let alone diving..

Trip is pushed back 2 weeks.. Pray that the weather will be fine.. If not, we will have to join the other non nus dive trips..
